The 'Surly Disc Trucker' is known for its great ride quality and value, much like its predecessor, the Long Haul Trucker. It’s highly regarded as a top drop-bar touring bike. However, in conditions with heavy loads, different climates, or rough terrain, rim brakes might not provide enough stopping power.
The redesigned Disc Trucker improves on this with several updates. It now has strong disc brakes for better stopping power, especially useful for carrying heavy loads or riding on rough surfaces. It also includes extra mounting points for added cargo space.
The new design features shorter chainstays, which enhance the bike’s stiffness and handling, making it more agile in tight corners. The improved fit and handling under load make for a more comfortable ride. Plus, the captured thru-axles allow for easy, tool-free wheel removal and installation. These upgrades make the Disc Trucker versatile and ready for various touring and everyday needs.

- Dynamo routing on the fork plus three-pack mounts on the blade and every braze-on you'll ever need for racks mudguards water bottle cages and more
- 12mm thru-axles for a stiffer feel and increased stability when fully loaded
- Shortened seat tube and slightly sloped top tube for improved stand-over clearance plus increased stack height for a more upright and comfortable riding position on those long hauls

- Frame sizes 42 56cm are available for 26" diameter wheels while frame sizes 56 64cm are available for 700c diameter wheels
- Clearance for 26" x 2.1" tyres with or without mudguards or 700c x 47mm with or without mudguards
